Jason MrazPoignant lyrics. Lifted our spirits on our drives through the pastoral side of Ireland. It takes a crane to build a crane It takes two floors to make a storie It takes an egg to make a hen It takes a hen to make an egg There is no end to what I'm saying It takes a thought to make a word And it takes some words to make an action And it takes some work to make it work It takes some good to make it hurt It takes some bad for satisfaction Ah la la la la la la life is wonderful Ah la la la la la la life goes full circle Ah la la la la life is wonderful Ah la la la la la It takes a night to make it done And it takes a day to make you young brother And it takes some old to make you young It takes some cold to know the sun It takes the one to have the other And it takes no time to fall in love But it takes you years to know what love is And it takes some fears to make you trust It takes those tears to make it rust It takes the dust to have it polished Ah la la la la la la life is wonderful Ah la la la la la la life goes full circle Ah la la la la la la life is wonderful Ah la la la la It takes some silence to make sound And it takes a lost before you found it And it takes a road to go nowhere It takes a toll to show you care It takes a hole to see a mountain Ah la la la la la life is wonderful Ah la la la la la life goes full circle Ah la la la la la la life is wonderful Ah la la la la la life is meaningful Ah la la la la la la life is wonderful Ah la la la la la life is meaningful Ah la la la la la la life is full of Ah la la la la la life is so full of love Ah la la la la la life is wonderful Ah la la la la la la life is meaningful Ah la la la la la life is full of Ah la la la la la life is so full of love Labels: Ireland, media, travel wired

Was it Raymond Williams of City and Country who said that the place where you are has a profound effect on the individual. The folks here in Irish towns and villages are so nice and kind. The shops close at 6pm sharp and friends and family gather is commonsight especially on a weekend like today. I guess cityfolks should slow down. I have a slight throbbing headache. It's probably from being overwhelmed by so much beautiful scenery in Ireland. I can't complain! creamy

Hostel stays - the interactions with travellers around the world come instinctly like the days of old in Thailand. I didn't realise how much I had missed it until you sit by the fireplace (it's bleedy cold here at nights!) and just chat away with total strangers. Bed & Breakfast - the friendly owners and comfortable beds are always a draw although it'll set us back by 10 Euros per person compared to hostel stays. This should on Twitter or something...I prefer the Guinness - creamer and less bitter, likes Smithwich more as it is a lot closer to Tiger, Heineken and the Irish Kilnenny, which to his horror, the pubs in the North don't carry!?!! Having ice-cream for breakfast because we were too tired for desert after listening to some Irish music at a local pub. Laterz. lobster pot
| 3:02 PM
We are following Lonely Planet and AA driving guides on this drive drip around Ireland. Lobster Pot was supposedly a nice eastery by the port town of Ssanford-something like that (I'll correct this when I get the time. Imagine the sore disappointment when we discovered that it has closed down. The emptiness pervading the lot is the general feel when we drive into towns. Big houses scattered across vast lands but you only see a trickle of residents around. This does not apply to cities of course. Not that I don't like it - I actually appreciate the peace and quiet, like the occasional sighting of a jogger or a local out walking her dog, which is a farcry from the mad bustle of Singpore. I'm going to miss all of this like I'm missing Sprite now. :) Breakfast duties and I'm already late!

Jars Of ClayI am the only one to blame for this Somehow it all ends up the same Soaring on the wings of selfish pride I flew too high and like Icarus I collide With a world I try so hard to leave behind To rid myself of all but love to give and die To turn away and not become Another nail to pierce the skin of one who loves more deeply than the oceans, more abundant than the tears Of a world embracing every heartache Can I be the one to sacrifice Or grip the spear and watch the blood and water flow To love you - take my world apart To need you - I am on my knees To love you - take my world apart To need you - broken on my knees All said and done I stand alone Amongst remains of a life I should not own It takes all I am to believe In the mercy that covers me Did you really have to die for me? All I am for all you are Because what I need and what I believe are worlds apart I look beyond the empty cross forgetting what my life has cost and wipe away the crimson stains "dull the nails that still remain" More and more I need you now, I owe you more each passing hour the battle between grace and pride I gave up not so long ago So steal my heart and take the pain and wash the feet and cleanse my pride take the selfish, take the weak, and all the things I cannot hide take the beauty, take my tears the sin-soaked heart and make it yours take my world all apart take it now, take it now and serve the ones that I despise speak the words I can't deny watch the world I used to love fall to dust and thrown away I look beyond the empty cross forgetting what my life has cost so wipe away the crimson stains "dull the nails that still remains" so steal my heart and take the pain take the selfish, take the weak and all the things I cannot hide take the beauty, take my tears take my world apart, take my world apart I pray, I pray, I pray take my world apart Labels: media, music monday 4000&2

I'm heartened to know that the turnout for Singapore Idol was a whopping 4000! If it was 10 years ago, I might just give it a go. Serious. I can't imagine queueing in line with Sprite now. My friends and kids will probably give up after half an hour in this unforgiving heat. Besides, Singapore's not really very canine friendly YET. --- They found 2 bodies from the enigmatic Air France crash. The blame apparently now is on - systems failure. Not that the N151 doesn't bother me, the thought of my British Airway flight going down over the Atlantic (or is it the Pacific) Ocean this coming Friday and my body disappearing into oblivion is a more scary thought. --- Catching my last few episodes of Jay Leno. I'm seriously going to miss his crap. I did tape his successor, Conan's, premier yesterday. The latter has big shoes to fill. While watching the man himself discussing embroynic stemcells and human eggs with a celebrity, I was telling an ex-student on MSN to pursue his dream. Go Nigel! Nothing is impossible in this life. Have fun pursuing your acting dreams. Just remember to stay humble and don't forget me when you do become famous. :) Labels: ramble tell me lies, tell me sweet little lies...

Now that is a line from a song in the 80s. It just came to my mind as I embark on publishing this entry. This is nothing new though. It has been with mankind since the dawn of ages. Some of us still continue to manipulate others through deceitful advertising. This store is located near my workplace. It hails "Closing Down Sale" printouts all over its facade on its numerous shelves. They have been around since last year. After I'd taken the unit out from the box set, I realised that the waranty card did not come with a mail-back portion. I emailed the company but did not get a reply for 2 weeks. Just now, I called them up and causally asked them if the life-time map updates deal was for real. I was told that this comes with every purchase of a GPS unit by the company. The special deal at the fair only advertisement gimmick was just a whole load of crap. Well... Labels: photo hunter, wordless wednesday sky-high
