On Wednesday, I was relieving a Tamil class . Yes, Tamil by the Jack Of All Trades But Master Of None - yours truly.
In the final 15 minutes of the lesson, I took the boys out to the courtyard to play a game.
The game is simple. Each group has to remain on the space defined by a sheet of newspaper. No part of their body must touch the ground.
That is not acceptable because those red shoes have come in contact with the minefield.
Soon the boys got creative, only after a little prompt from the master of course. Lose those shoes - they take up more space than your feet.
Hmmm...what's that smell!?! Each time the sheet is folded into half, the space available for each group to stand on is reduced by half. Desperate measures come to play now - carry me!
He ain't heavy, he's my brother.
"Sir, quick! Check if we passed this round."
"You mean we have to hold together like this for your picture???"
Footnote : You don't really think I can teach Tamil, did you? Some of the younger kids actually thought I could. Labels: photo hunter, wordless wednesday, work
