fast food for the deceased

Offerings by devotees to spirits who are believed to roam the physical realm during the Hungry Ghost Festival. Given the picture of the athelete on the Milo tin, I therefore christian this image "Fast food for the Deceased"
Here's the offering I bought for myself for breakfast - mushroom mince pork noodles! Superstitous Chinese would frown at the placement of the chopsticks and spoon in this manner in any dish. This is because, to them, it resembles joss sticks in an urn or food offerings to the dead, implying that the person who faces the food is no longer alive. Labels: culture, wordless wednesday
